GAGA Collective Exhibition, “The Fabulous Egg”. University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX. 3/1/24 - 3/1/28

I had the opportunity to showcase my ceramic sculpture “Puse un Huevo” at GAGA’s “The Fabulous Egg” exhibition, and I was honored to receive a Merit Award.

The event brought together a diverse group of artists, and I was privileged to contribute my work to this vibrant celebration of creativity and collaboration.

The title for this piece came from a saying we have in Puerto Rico: when we recognize we’ve made a mistake, we say “Puse un huevo,” which translates to “I laid an egg”. Making mistakes is an unavoidable part of the creative process, and learning from them is essential for artistic growth. By embracing the potential and imperfections of clay, we learn to appreciate the journey that leads to new insights and creations.
